Our founder, Youssef Nassar, began his journey in AI after confronting the fundamental limitations of existing deep learning models. From an early age, Youssef was driven by a desire to understand how things work—first by dismantling toys, then through programming, robotics, and eventually artificial intelligence. His turning point came in 2017, when he identified a critical weakness in convolutional neural networks: adversarial attacks revealed vulnerabilities that directly contradict how the human brain processes visual information.

Determined to bridge the gap between cognitive neuroscience and artificial intelligence, Youssef spent the next seven years researching alternative learning mechanisms that move beyond the constraints of backpropagation. This effort led to the development of a groundbreaking neural architecture that unifies principles from early symbolic AI with modern cognitive neuroscience, emulating biological synaptic learning.
